Friday Apr 01, 2022
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Something a bit different this week as the lads manage to get not one but TWO top class jockeys on the podcast in the form of David Egan & Sabine Osborne as they discuss their careers to date in racing and what lies ahead for them in their blossoming careers. They also let all our listeners in on a horse to follow each for the upcoming flat season so listen out for those. 👂
In the second part of the podcast, the tipping coverage includes races from both codes of the sport with the Ayr Scottish National covered which encourages bold selections from both the lads and then over the Irish sea for some exciting flat action at Leopardstown in the form of two Guineas trials and the Ballysax all covered by the lads including one selection that they both agree on (it doesn’t happen often)!
At The Midas Touches, we continue to appreciate your ongoing support and thank you, as ever, for listening to the podcast. Please like, share, and generally spread the word if you’re enjoying the show as your recommendations can really help us continue to grow. We hope to see you all back here for the next episode.

Friday Mar 25, 2022
Friday Mar 25, 2022
Welcome back listeners, we hope you all enjoyed Cheltenham Festival week as much as The Midas Touches did (you definitely did if you joined the lads in backing Constitution Hill at big prices 😉).
So much to pack in to such a short space of time but in this episode the lads attempt to take you through a full Cheltenham review with previous guest Jamie Radford including some horses to follow for the rest of the jumps season.
With action coming thick and fast they then manage to cover three races from Doncaster on Saturday including the curtain raiser for the flat season with The Lincoln handicap where Charlie has a very bold selection 👀 at big odds.
The episode is then finished off (as if that wasn’t enough already) by a quick mention of the action over in Meydan for World Cup weekend.
So much to cover and we hope you enjoy. Please continue to like and share 💓

We’re got NAPs and next bests coming out of ears so be sure to give this episode a listen to prepare yourself for a huge week of racing. Also, if you happen to find yourself at Cheltenham on the Friday then go find Charlie in the Guinness Village and tell him what you thought of the podcast (positive reviews only 😉)

Life or Death: The Darker Side of Gambling with Patch Foster
Friday Feb 18, 2022
Friday Feb 18, 2022
In the UK, one person a day commits suicide from gambling addiction related issues… it’s a dark cloud that lingers over the sport that we love and an issue that desperately needs addressing.
Our guest this week, Patch Foster, author of the book Might Bite, knows this issue all too well and, as the title suggests, has experience of the very life and death nature of this addiction. It’s a story that needs telling and Patch does this so well, both with the lads on this week’s episode and his aforementioned book.
It’s great to get such an open dialogue about this tricky topic and thanks so much to Patch for joining us. For those of you interested to learn more, Patch’s book is available in all good book stores so go get yourself a copy.
Thanks for listening and please share to continue to spread the word on this essential topic.
